Daniel Negreanu narrowly missed out

Daniel Negreanu has announced several changes after an unsuccessful year last year. These seem to be bearing fruit and he has already managed to win a couple of tournaments this year. Another win may have come during last night's Event #5, which again had a buy-in of $10,100. Here the entries counter stopped at 92 and the prizepool was worth $920,000.

There was $239,200 waiting for the winner here, and names like Erik Seidel, David Peters and the aforementioned Daniel Negreanu were battling it out for that amount at the 7-seat final table. However, neither of them took the top prize.

Erik Seidel finished just short of the final heads-up and Daniel Negreanu was unable to beat his opponent, Matthew Wantman, in heads-up play. Matthew took home the trophy and the full winner's prize, while Daniel had to settle for second place and $151,800.
