Bryn Kenney is the New Investor and Ambassador for New Online Poker Site 4Poker

Kenney with some other former online poker senior executives are launching an online poker platform called 4poker!

On of the big names of world poker, who have earned over $57 million throughout his career and became a owner of one WSOP bracelet in 2014 have ambitious business plans. This is happening despite the fact, that Kenney faced allegations of running cult-like cheating operation which we mentioned in one of our articles earlier this year.

According to an article on Poker.org, Simon Young opined that the upcoming poker site "sounds a little similar to the PokerStars of old." He explained that the 4Poker team had worked together in the past. The poker site has yet to launch, and the exact target date is unknown, although the company anticipates being up and running late in the current year. Like any new poker site, 4Poker will be competing against the familiar big names of the online poker world — including GGPoker, 888poker and PokerStars — but the site does have the backing of some industry veterans, along with Kenney, the second winningest player in live tournament poker history with $57.2 million in cashes according to The Hendon Mob.

Whether or not Kenney's involvement will be a net-positive for 4Poker is yet to be seen. One thing is certain, however, and that is the poker site's chief operating officer, Heath Cram, has his back. "I know Bryn has long and good relationships with the High Stakes poker community and people like Jason Koon, so he is in a good position as one of our ambassadors to help, as ironic as some may see that," he said in his Q&A with Poker.org, which recently announced the hiring of poker industry veterans Eric Hollreiser and Brad Willis.

Whether 4Poker will make any impact on the online poker market remains to be seen, as does their choice of Bryn Kenney as the public face of the company. What is your opinion on this move?
