If you're one of our fans, you'll be well aware that in addition to the latest news and poker livestreams, we're also bringing you an international poker series. The Spadepoker Tour has been held in Bratislava and Liechtenstein in the past, and in 2024 it will add another location to its map - we'll be heading to Rozvadov together at the beginning of May!
The fifth edition of the Spadepoker Tour will take place from May 1st to May 5th, hosted by King's Casino Rozvadov - Europe's largest poker room! The festival, consisting of six tournaments, will attract especially the Main Event, which, with a buy-in of €500, carries a guarantee of €300,000!
Starting on Thursday, May 2, a total of five opening days await you, in which the €500 buy-in will be exchanged for a 40,000 starting stack. Comfortable 40-minute blinds will allow each player to fully display their poker knowledge, which should aim to survive the 13 levels and then advance to Sunday's Day 2. There, all advancing players will face off in a battle for a seat at the final table, which will reveal the name of the champion on Monday, May 6.
The festival will also feature a variety of side events, including the prestigious €50,000 High Roller. As is customary, the SPT champion will receive a unique handmade trophy in addition to a cash prize, and the top four players in this tournament will also receive a ticket to the WSOPE Main Event worth €10,350. It looks like even the last turbo flight 1E will not be able to erase the overlay and the advancing players will be able to look forward to the additional payment from the casino. The last turbo flight 1E currently has 67 entries during level 7, which together with the 464 entries so far is not enough to collect the guarantee. Thursday brought the opening Flight 1A, which offered the first opportunity for players to secure a seat in Sunday's Day 2. A total of 41 players took advantage of this opportunity, collectively accounting for 54 entries. By the end of the day, a total of 9 advancers had formed from this group, led by a Czech player called Pavel53 (who also won an entry in a satellite for just €80).
The main tournament of the entire SPT Rozvadov festival starts today at 18:00 with its opening Flight 1A, where you can secure your seat in Sunday's Day 2 in advance. If the €500 buy-in is out of your bankroll, don't despair - the satellite starts at 15:00 with a buy-in of only €80 and a guarantee of 15 tickets! Good luck!
The whole festival kicked off yesterday with a warm-up Opener event, which took the form of a €150 tournament. A total of 83 players took care of 123 entries in it, which treated the top thirteen players to cash prizes. The winner of the tournament in the end was Poland's Maciej Ludwik Kondraszuk, who took home the full €6,146 without a deal.
